I write on behalf of the Committee of the Diocesan Home School to ask if that School could not be admitted at once as eligible to send up Candidates for the Government Scholarship at the biennial examination.

At present only three schools in the Colony have this privilege, but this is very apt to become injurious to other schools from which clever boys who have been carefully trained are likely to be attracted to the three favoured schools in the hope of obtaining such a valuable prize as the Government Scholarship is. As the money for this prize is provided from the public funds...
